Pete and Amy wanted to have a family portrait done, especially with their daughter, Lani, quickly approaching her first birthday. We set out for one of their favourite parks which was just down the road from their home. It was obvious that Lani was excited about being there, despite it being quite cool, as she was constantly smiling at Mum and Dad, and pointing and quacking at the hopeful, bread-thirsty ducks. She actually caught one of them off guard when she started crawling after it with unexpected speed, and it's only means for escape was jumping off a jetty. As the day played out, Lani spent her time enjoying some of her favourite things, getting piggy-back rides on Dad's shoulders and being lifted high into the sky by Mum.

Happy Mother's Day!
To all of the amazing mothers in the world, and all that they do for their children:
changing nappies,
washing clothes,
giving cuddles,
getting up in the middle of the night,
reading stories,
teaching how to tie your shoes,
changing more nappies,
packing lunches,
giving baths,
giving birth,
cutting up apples into tiny bite size pieces,
kissing scraped knees,
driving to countless soccer practices,
helping with homework,
and the million and one other things...
Thank you.
Don't ever forget how beautiful you are...

Family Photo Shoot - Kim, Justin, & Bundy (the hyper puppy)
Kim and Justin wanted some family photos done with their extremely energetic (understatement) two year old staffy, Bundy, so we went to a nearby park where he could be set loose to run around. It was quite a challenge photographing Bundy, for when he wasn't in a full sprint, he refused to look into the lens of my camera, because he was so well trained to ignore distractions. Kim and Justin made things a bit easier by getting him to at least glance in my direction, but catching Bundy in his element was far more rewarding as you can't beat the look of a happy puppy running after a ball. There was also a guest appearance at the end of the shoot by Kim and Justin's adorable niece, who also happens to be my daughter.
